-JEWELRY CARE COMMANDMENTS-

  1. THOU SHALT BATHE BARE

Showers, swimming and late night dips in hot tubs are for your enjoyment, not your jewelry. Risk of losing and damaging jewelry is so much higher than if you leave it behind with your clothes. Chlorine will dull, discolor and can even result in pits forming in your precious wares.

  2. THOU SHALT MIND THE CHEMISTRY

Fine jewelry should be the last thing to go on and the first thing to come off in your daily routines. ALWAYS apply makeup and other beauty products BEFORE putting on any jewelry. Precious metals and porous gemstones (such as Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Howlite, Onyx, Opal, Coral, Amber and Emerald) will react to ammonia, chlorine and other chemical solvents found in cleaners, perfumes, lotions and hairsprays.

  3. THOU SHALT CLEAN WITH LOVE

100% cotton cloths or special jewelry cloths should be the ONLY materials used to clean jewelry. Tissues or paper towels have abrasive fibers in them that can easily scratch gems.

  4. THOU SHALT STORE WITH LOVE

Keep jewelry in a designated and safe place while it is not being worn. A jewelry box, or any box with individual compartments lined with cloth is ideal so as to not become entangled or damaged by clashing against other jewelry.
*Anti-tarnish strips are a great way to avoid oxidation of metals, and are available upon request.

  5. THOU SHALT CHECK UP

Wearing fine jewelry on a daily basis will result in normal wear and tear. Be sure to check up on your pieces for any noticeable changes in appearance, fit or looseness. Any signs of damage should be addressed immediately by contacting me for a repair consultation. Any repairs that are needed within 30 days of purchase will be taken care of free of charge.

  6. THOU SHALT BE EASY, BABY

Be aware that your jewelry has been hand crafted with diligent care and attention to detail, so please return the love that has been put into making these pieces by wearing them with care.
